Golden Seed Film Festival
The “Golden Seed Film Festival” is the Film & TV Department’s biggest and most spirited student-creation party at the end of every semester! It’s the showcase stage where we see how students transform classroom theory and practical skills into real works. This professional competition spans the entire learning path: from first-year foundational shorts in “Principles of Film & TV Production,” to second-year team-based “Film Production” large-scale projects, and third-year “Independent Short Production” that pushes personal limits. Every work is reviewed by faculty across the department. The festival’s awards cover every aspect of filmmaking—from lens aesthetics to behind-the-scenes crafts. In addition to Best Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Actor/Actress, we place special emphasis on technical excellence with awards such as Best Cinematography & Lighting, Best Editing, and Best Sound Design, recognizing students’ strengths in visual capture, aural storytelling, and control of pacing. The festival offers a formal, celebratory stage where students can taste what it feels like to be center stage in the industry before graduation—laying a solid foundation for their careers.
