Metaverse Center for Technology, Art, and Design

In response to technological advances and the rising trend of AI, the Center is dedicated to the integration of visual art and technology, serving as a leading tech-art hub in southern Taiwan. It is equipped with an Insta360 Titan 11K VR professional camera and an 8K color grading workstation, and continuously undertakes technology–art productions, immersive VR content creation, metaverse-integrated design, and real-time online performances as part of a diverse teaching agenda. A virtual production stage is built in the Center, enabling students to pursue cross-disciplinary learning in art and technology. The venue is also used for immersive exhibitions of VR works.

Surround Sound Studio

Our department houses a fully equipped surround studio capable of 5.1-channel sound design. This space supports courses such as **“Film Mixing” and “Practical Audio for Film & TV”**. Instruction integrates ElevenLabs for speech synthesis and Suno AI for intelligent music generation, and includes AI voice model development, ensuring our sound design and post-production pipelines keep pace with cutting-edge technologies.

8K Color Grading Workstation

A core component of the Metaverse Center, this high-end setup provides students with a professional environment for color management and finishing. It meets the grading needs of complex VR/VP virtual production workflows, ensuring final output quality at industry-leading standards.

Multimedia Editing Classroom

Our multimedia computer classroom has been fully upgraded to 61 Apple M1 iMacs. It serves as the primary lab for video and audio editing, visual effects post-production, and hands-on Unreal Engine 3D compositing, providing a highly efficient post-production workflow.

Production Practice Studio

Established in Academic Year 2014 (ROC 103), this studio’s main role is to manage all production equipment and gear in support of teaching and industry–academia projects. It houses professional cinema tools including the RED EPIC-X 5K camera, Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera, as well as a wide range of lighting (ARRI, KINO FLO) and grip equipment, ensuring students gain hands-on experience aligned with industry practice.

Self-Operated Audio Rooms

Multiple self-operated audio rooms are available for mixing and post-production sound editing. We encourage flexible use to enhance students’ independent post sound work, expanding the practice environment for audio courses. These rooms are also suitable for producing podcast programs.
